Fellow Americans!
With the 2007 primary elections right around the corner, the time has come to start thinking about selecting the 2008 Presidential Candidates. As usual, we are stuck with choosing between "elephant and jackass" candidates to run the U.S. government. Couple that with the overall lack of interest and involvement within our voting populace, the time has come to create a new way to elect our next President, the lottery.
Perhaps this is just a cynical view of our entire electoral process. In the last eight years, we moved from a womanizer to warmonger as our President. So, Help Elect a Lottery President (H.E.L.P.) was created as a way to give another avenue for selecting a Presidential candidate.
H.E.L.P is not intended to replace or compete with the Democratic, Libertarian, or Republican parties. The H.E.L.P. website provides more then just a quick jab at the current election choices. H.E.L.P. provides pertinent information and links on the Presidential candidates as well serious political commentary, opinions and humorous sites.
To add your name to the H.E.L.P lottery drawing, simply order a H.E.L.P. package or T-shirt and you will automatically be entered into the lottery drawing. On October 1st, 2008, two names will be drawn at random from the lottery pool of names, which have been registered on our site (one name for President and one for Vice President). The selected names will be emailed to all who signed up via the automatic lottery registration process. In addition, the lottery winners will be posted on the H.E.L.P website with the purpose of being "write-in" candidates for the '08 Presidential election.
